Sugro, a UK buying group specialising in confectionery, soft drinks and cigarettes that supplies CTNs and petrol forecourts across the UK and Northern Ireland, faced the challenge of modernising Cash & Carry ordering to meet fast-moving retail expectations for availability and speed. Enable was contracted in January 2004 to design and supply the software behind Sugro Online, an online ordering service to let independent retailers place orders more easily and reliably.
Enable built the Sugro Online system — a 24/7 web ordering platform with a comprehensive product range and promotional offers — and provides ongoing live support. Retailers can order online and receive delivery within three days from Sugro members across the UK and Northern Ireland, improving availability and delivery timeliness and delivering measurable operational benefits to small independent retailers.
