NSL Services, one of the UK’s largest transport services businesses and the country’s biggest provider of on-street parking management, faced a business-critical challenge after a demerger from NCP: it had just six months to replace the software used to collect, record and reconcile cash across its car parks and on‑street machines before the incumbent system was switched off. NSL Services engaged Enable to deliver a bespoke, flexible web‑based cash management solution that could be deployed across all contracts and business units.

Enable first reviewed NSL Services’ underlying processes, then designed and developed a customised software package — including a daily analysis system — that cut three manual tasks down to two (a 33% process saving), sped up reporting and reconciliation, and simplified operations. The Enable solution now manages hundreds of parking machines nationwide; in the first four months there were only 11 helpdesk tickets and an unprecedentedly low number of post‑implementation bugs, demonstrating significant efficiency and reliability gains.
