With ENA’s VoIP solution, Prince George’s County Creates a Safer, More Empowered School District

Prince George’s County Public Schools partnered with ENA after years of phone-system issues across the district, including missing caller ID and voicemail, unreliable service, and a cumbersome billing process. The district needed a universal phone system that would give every user the features they needed while improving reliability and security.

ENA implemented ENA SmartVoice, its cloud-based VoIP solution, across roughly 15,000 devices. The new system improved communication reliability, added caller identification for emergency response, reduced prank calls, and provided live reporting that helped the district address high call volumes; for example, transportation was handling about 1,500 calls a day and reporting showed 257 lines available, revealing staffing—not capacity—as the bottleneck.
