Rural School Districts Join Forces to Bring Students a World of Opportunities

Julesburg School District, a rural Colorado district serving 300 students, wanted to expand advanced and blended learning opportunities without letting geography limit access. With only about 20 Mbps of connectivity at first, the district and its Northeast BOCES partners needed a way to support video-based instruction, online courses, and other digital learning programs, and turned to ENA for a high-speed broadband solution.

ENA won the Northeast BOCES contract in 2017 and delivered reliable 1 Gbps Internet to the participating districts at a lower cost than each could have achieved alone. The improved connectivity enabled Julesburg to expand blended learning, bring in remote teachers via video conferencing, offer college-level and gifted/talented courses, run a virtual AG-FFA program, and launch a full-time online school serving 500 students statewide.
