Rural School District Harnesses 21st Century Technology to Prepare for the Future

Piedmont City School District, a rural Alabama K-12 district, wanted to expand equitable access to modern learning tools despite geographic, economic, and connectivity barriers. Working with ENA, the district relied on secure Internet access and WAN services, along with hosted firewall and VoIP solutions, to support its one-to-one device initiative and blended learning programs.

ENA helped Piedmont City School District extend learning beyond the classroom with reliable, scalable connectivity, MiFi hotspots for students without home Internet, and secure communications for staff. The result was increased student motivation and participation, along with reported gains in test scores, attendance, and graduation rates as the district built a more connected, student-centered learning environment.
