Integrating Holistic Learning Approaches to Improve Educational Outcomes

McMinn County School System, a rural district in East Tennessee, wanted to give students the best possible education despite limited financial resources and an aging technology foundation. Working with ENA, the district identified major infrastructure gaps that were holding back digital learning, communication, and collaboration.

ENA helped McMinn County School System rebuild its network with upgrades including new wiring, switches, access points, fiber at all schools, WAN improvements, and expanded internet access. As a result, McMinn reached its five-year infrastructure goals in less than five years, increased its device-to-student ratio from 1:6 to about 1:2, and created “even playing field classrooms” with touchscreen whiteboards and audio enhancements for 375 classrooms to improve access, engagement, and learning.
