Indiana University Professors Leverage Video Conferencing Technology to Personalize and Enhance Online Learning

Indiana University partnered with ENA to use Video Collaboration powered by Zoom in its V606 Aspects of Practice Transition course, part of a program combining optometry and business education. The challenge was to make online learning more engaging, personal, and interactive for students and faculty spread across different locations, while helping first-time online learners feel connected rather than isolated.

With ENA’s Zoom-based video collaboration solution, Indiana University enabled weekly live discussions, recorded sessions for later viewing, and student-recorded presentations for instructor feedback and panel preparation. The result was a more personalized flipped-classroom model that improved engagement, supported accessibility, and helped students demonstrate stronger mastery of course material before exams and final presentations.
