A ENA Case Study
Greater Rutland County Supervisory Union (GRCSU), a rural Vermont school district, was struggling with an outdated analog phone system that made emergency call identification difficult, required managing nine legacy systems through six vendors, and kept IT staff tied up with constant phone issues. To modernize communications and improve school security, GRCSU turned to ENA and its SmartVoice hosted VoIP service.
ENA implemented a fiber Internet and WAN backbone, then deployed ENA SmartVoice cloud-based VoIP, giving GRCSU intelligent 911 location identification, building-wide emergency alerts, and modern communication features. The result was a more secure, centralized, and scalable communications environment with far less maintenance burden on the district’s IT team, freeing them to focus on higher-priority initiatives instead of phone support.
