Epson America, the U.S. affiliate of Seiko Epson Corporation, needed a larger, better-designed distribution center to support growth—moving from a 550,000 sq. ft. facility to a new 750,000 sq. ft. site—and required expert supply chain design and tight project management to meet a seven-month timeline. Epson engaged enVista Retail POS System for supply chain consulting, warehouse design review and full project management of the build and relocation.
enVista Retail POS System reviewed and optimized the facility design, consolidated and managed roughly 2,000 project tasks across operations, IT, contractors and vendors, and ran weekly status meetings with corrective actions to remove constraints. The new facility was fully operational within seven months of enVista’s engagement, the move occurred with zero missed delivery dates, and the site now optimizes labor, equipment and space—leading to no major issues and further engagements between Epson and enVista.
