The Vellore Institute of Technology, a university in India, needed to research and compare different coil shapes for wireless charging of electric vehicles. A student researcher required simulation software that was both powerful for high-power applications and easy to integrate into their existing design workflow with SolidWorks. They chose EMWorks' EMS software for its capabilities and compatibility.

EMWorks provided a solution with its EMS software integrated within SolidWorks, allowing for direct simulation of 3D models. The student utilized the AC Magnetic study feature to accurately simulate Litz wire coils and used the parameterization tool to efficiently run a batch of 30 different scenarios. This saved significant time and allowed for easy analysis of the results, leading to a successful research project and a very satisfied customer who plans to use EMWorks for future work.
