Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust needed to identify areas for improvement to meet NHS sustainability targets and monitor the environmental impact of its supply chain. The Trust faced the challenge of identifying the root causes of air quality breaches in real-time to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. This led them to partner with EMSOL to gain insights into pollution sources.

EMSOL implemented its air quality monitoring and camera technology to provide real-time data on pollution events and root cause analysis. This solution enabled the Trust to identify its most polluting vehicles and specific site pollution problems. As a result of the successful insights and product development for the NHS, EMSOL was awarded a further commercial contract to deploy its technology across the hospital sites.
