Building an employee support system for rapid medical assistance using Empuls’ Social Intranet

Bizongo, India’s largest B2B platform for made-to-order products, needed a faster way to support employees during the second wave of COVID-19, when staff were urgently seeking ICU beds, oxygen, remdesivir, plasma donors, meals, and transportation. With a 250-person distributed team and time-sensitive medical needs, the HR team struggled to qualify and coordinate leads quickly enough on their own.

Using Empuls’ Social Intranet, Bizongo created a “Bizongo COVID Support” page where employees could request help and share leads, turning the workplace community into a rapid-response support network. In less than a week, more than half of Bizongo’s employees joined the group, and the team helped at least 4 employees in dire need of assistance, including delivering Remdesivir at 2 am and arranging a hospital transfer within three hours.
