Calumet College of St. Joseph Says Empower is Essential for the Accreditation Process

Calumet College of St. Joseph used the EMPOWER Student Information System to manage ongoing AQIP accreditation requirements but faced fragmented, often manual processes because users across departments worked in isolation. This made tracking benchmarks—test scores, progress reports and other metrics—time-consuming and inconsistent, threatening efficient accreditation reporting.

To address this, Calumet College launched an AQIP project to standardize EMPOWER use, forming a standing cross‑functional EMPOWER committee that meets biweekly and added user‑defined fields to capture accreditation data more easily. EMPOWER Student Information System’s configurability, regular enhancements (150–200 releases a year) and training support helped streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and deliver consistent, reliable reporting that CCSJ now relies on for day‑to‑day operations and maintaining accreditation.
