The Career Academy improves efficiencies with HRIS

The Career Academy, an award-winning online education provider operating across the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia, needed a better way to manage employee data, recruitment and HR processes. With no existing HRIS and people information scattered through SharePoint and other manual systems, Employment Hero became a priority for ANZ People and Culture Manager Theodore D’Souza. Using Employment Hero’s Platinum HR platform, the team wanted to improve accessibility, reduce reliance on HR as the gatekeeper, and support a growing remote workforce.

Employment Hero implemented a centralised HRIS covering recruitment, people analytics, asset tracking and employee self-service. The result was much greater efficiency and transparency across HR, managers, employees and IT: Theo says hiring became far more streamlined, managers could access candidate data directly, and employee requests no longer had to flow through him. Employment Hero also improved asset management and reporting, saving significant time and helping the business forecast hiring needs, while Theo noted the platform had already delivered major benefits within just a few months of launch.
