Launching a digital transformation in a mall with success

BROEN Shopping, a Danish shopping mall in Esbjerg with 60 stores and 3 million annual visits, wanted to strengthen loyalty with local customers, increase footfall, and make communication more relevant and personalized. To support its digital transformation, BROEN Shopping worked with Emplate and its platform to create an owned media channel that could connect customers, tenants, and mall management more effectively.

Emplate implemented a customer app, an inspirational website integration, a tenant app, and a mall management system, including beacon-based loyalty and campaign tracking. In the first two months, the launch generated 1,192 campaigns from 49 of 60 tenants, with more than 80% attendance at the onboarding meeting, showing strong tenant adoption and engagement; BROEN Shopping said the rollout exceeded expectations and that Emplate’s support helped make the launch a success.
