Beratung Advisors, a nine-member financial planning team affiliated with Waddell & Reed, faced stagnant, paper-based plans, wary clients intimidated by jargon, and inflexible software that couldn’t model real-time scenarios. Seeking a dynamic planning platform, Beratung adopted eMoney in 2017 to replace “static planning” and make financial concepts interactive and easier for prospects and clients to understand.
Using eMoney’s tools—custom sample accounts, Next Steps, and the Decision Center interactive cash-flow planning—Beratung streamlined onboarding, improved client engagement, and used live scenario modeling to convert prospects. As a result, Beratung grew AUM from $35M in 2016 to $212M by the end of 2019 (roughly 500% growth) and increased revenue from about $350K to over $1.4M, while also attracting new advisors to the team. eMoney remains central to their client-facing and recruiting strategy.
