Florida State University faced the twin challenges of maintaining consistent institutional branding across departments and improving donor targeting with limited subscriber data. Emma, Inc. helped FSU segment audiences, refine CTAs, and benchmark campaigns, enabling faster strategy adjustments and more targeted asks. The results were measurable: two recent campaigns generated about $1.6 million in gifts ($1,075,085 from a summer student-experience appeal and $560,824 for the Student Emergency Fund), 1,730 gifts in the larger campaign, and a Veteran’s Day effort that produced 41% of gifts from new academic donors.
