Salomon, the French outdoor sports brand, wanted to bring full exterior personalization to its SLAB ME:SH running shoe line—letting customers choose colors and materials for each part, add custom text, and explore construction layers. The challenge was to deliver a high-quality, interactive 3D customization experience that worked online and in-store on tablets, respected Salomon’s design guidelines, offered design presets, and showcased the shoe’s technology with exploded views.
Using Emersya’s platform and a hand-crafted 3D model (traditional modeling + photogrammetry), Salomon launched an embedded interactive 3D configurator that lets users change part colors in real time, add initials, and trigger camera animations for guided configuration. The solution supports omnichannel use—sending finalized designs to stores for custom fitting—adds exploded HD renders to explain construction and tech, and enables customers to visualize and order fully personalized shoes tailored to their morphology and running needs.
