Jyro, a parachute manufacturer (formerly NZ Aerosports), needed to upgrade its Icarus Canopy online configurators to give customers a more engaging, paint-on customization experience while speeding up the workflow for adding new customizable models and integrating configurator orders with its order management and production systems. Key challenges included enabling panel-level painting, real-time 3D previews from every angle, and seamless links to back-end order and production processes.

Using the Emersya platform Jyro published 3D canopy models with each panel defined as customizable zones (and grouped zones where needed), added color palettes and logo options in minutes, and built a custom UI that integrates via API for instant, real-time updates. Shoppers can click to paint panels, preview the canopy interactively, save screenshots to user accounts, and order directly from the configurator; orders (with screenshots and customization codes) are automatically sent to Jyro’s order management system and production team, improving UX, speeding product onboarding, and streamlining order-to-production.
