Wheelabrator Technologies, a leading U.S. energy-from-waste company, needed to replace a slow, paper-based expense process that required three levels of manual approval, redundant ERP data entry, and lengthy reimbursement delays. Wheelabrator selected Emburse’s Chrome River EXPENSE to modernize submission, approval and payment of employee expenses and to integrate with their Great Plains ERP, Ultipro payroll and Visa corporate cards.

Emburse implemented Chrome River EXPENSE with paperless workflows, built-in compliance and automated approval routing, ERP transaction imports, reporting and auto-reminders, plus a pilot and targeted training. The result: paper and filing cabinets eliminated, no duplicate entry into the ERP thanks to automated imports, AP no longer spends time routing reports manually, and employees receive reimbursements much faster — delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, compliance visibility and cycle time.
