Northeast Treatment Centers (NET), a Philadelphia-based non-profit with 800+ staff, struggled with an outdated paper-based process for roughly 400 expense reports and 800 invoices per month, creating risk of duplicate payments, poor spend visibility, batch-import approval limitations, and slow mileage verification. To modernize workflows and gain insight into spend, NET chose Emburse’s Chrome River solution (Expense and Invoice).

Emburse implemented Chrome River to capture invoice images, centralize transactions, automate routing and approvals, and provide a mileage calculator and analytics. As a result NET reduced manual filing, accelerated invoice payments and expense reimbursements, improved reconciliation with credit card integration, strengthened internal controls, and can now close billing soon after month-end while gaining clearer visibility into spend.
