Case Study: Telenor assures mission-critical 5G slice performance with Emblasoft active monitoring

A Emblasoft Case Study

Preview of the Telenor Case Study

How active monitoring helped Telenor to assure QoS delivery

Telenor, a leading Nordic operator, faced the challenge of assuring the quality of new, mission-critical services delivered over its 5G Standalone (SA) network. These services, run on dedicated network slices, required guaranteed ultra-low latency and high reliability for applications like autonomous vehicles and broadcast media, without any impact on other customer traffic. To validate performance in its multi-vendor, cloud-native 5G core, Telenor employed Emblasoft’s active monitoring solution.

The Emblasoft solution used software agents to generate real traffic and emulate services across different network slices. This allowed Telenor to automate testing and continuously monitor key performance indicators to ensure strict Quality of Service (QoS) requirements were met. The results proved that mission-critical traffic, such as a live broadcast, remained completely unaffected by other high-load traffic in parallel slices. Emblasoft provided the essential capabilities for Telenor to assure service delivery, enabling the successful monetization of its 5G SA investments.
