Emblasoft and Telenor Verification and automated active monitoring in world’s first multi-vendor Service Architecture 5G Core solution

Telenor collaborated with eight vendors on a groundbreaking proof-of-concept to build the world's first ready-to-ship, multi-vendor cloud-native 5G SA Core. The challenge was to validate this complex, disaggregated architecture, which had no existing blueprint, to ensure full functionality, security, and support for diverse use cases without vendor lock-in. Emblasoft was brought in to orchestrate the validation and automated testing for this multi-vendor environment.

Emblasoft implemented its solution to provide end-to-end functionality testing, automated active monitoring, and load testing. It validated multiple network slices and integrated with Red Hat Ansible to run test scenarios, successfully handling 93 different subscribers tested twice daily. The solution proved the commercial viability of the multi-vendor 5G core, demonstrating it could support high-performance applications like 4K video and secure government communications without degradation, while significantly reducing integration work between vendors.
