Akamai turned to Emblasoft to test and validate the scalability and flexibility of its new service pre-launch, and to define its testing process on an on-going basis to drive service evolution.

Akamai, a leading provider of cloud computing, security, and content delivery services, required assistance to test and validate the scalability and functionality of its new Secure Internet Access Services for MNOs pre-launch. The challenge involved modeling realistic user and traffic scenarios to ensure the policy-based service could correctly handle authentication and different traffic volumes under load. Akamai turned to the vendor, Emblasoft, and its Evolver solution for help in defining and executing this comprehensive testing process.

Emblasoft provided its expertise to define Akamai's testing methodology and used its Evolver platform to simulate user equipment and web servers, generating realistic traffic loads. The solution successfully tested the service with 1,000 simulated subscribers and 20Gb of network data, validating its performance. As a result, Akamai established a robust, ongoing test process to guide its service evolution and plans to integrate Emblasoft's tools into its CI/CT processes for future pre- and post-deployment testing.
