Case Study: PocketSlip achieves rapid multi-platform app launch with Embarcadero Technologies' Delphi

A Embarcadero Technologies Case Study

Preview of the PocketSlip Case Study

PocketSlip - Customer Case Study

PocketSlip, founded in Johannesburg in 2014, builds a mobile app that lets customers receive digital receipts instead of paper. Founder Ryno Coetzee faced a tight three-month timeline to be first to market and had to integrate with many different retailer POS systems, all while developing his first mobile application.

Coetzee used Embarcadero Delphi and its FireMonkey framework to build a single codebase deployable to Android, iOS, Windows and OS X, speeding development and simplifying integrations. The app met its timeline and gained rapid traction—136 users in three weeks and another 150 by month two—while enabling ongoing POS integrations, talks with major banks, and plans for international expansion.
