Hitachi Medical Computer Systems, Inc. faced the challenge of developing an innovative, intuitive user interface for its "DELTA View" dentistry support system that could display medical treatment along a timeline. They needed to minimize design costs and create native applications for both Windows and iPad from a single codebase. To achieve this, they used Embarcadero's Delphi XE4 and the FireMonkey framework.

Embarcadero's solution allowed the team to harness the high expressivity of the FireMonkey platform to build the UI and use its stylebook to complete the project without external designers, reducing costs. By using Delphi XE4's multi-platform development functionality, they created native Windows and iPad apps from a single codebase. The Windows version was adopted by over 400 dental practices within six months, and the iPad version was developed and released in just three months, a third of the expected development time.
