Getinge Infection Control, a business area of Getinge AB, faced the challenge of accelerating application time-to-market and keeping pace with the exponential growth of its international clientele with a limited number of developers. The team needed to expand the functionality of its mission-critical T-DOC ERP system to additional devices and platforms while managing a codebase of over four million lines.

Using Embarcadero's Delphi development platform, the team implemented a solution that leveraged the same source code across multiple platforms, including Windows, OS X, Android, and iOS. This allowed them to develop a mobile app with just two developers in four months. The results included real-time data handling capabilities in a full production system and the ability to support a diverse range of devices without having to rewrite or update old functions. The efficiency gained with Embarcadero's tool enabled the team to focus on new products and grow their system to be used in 1,200 hospitals across 44 countries.
