Erply, a SaaS provider for the retail industry based in Tallinn, Estonia, needed a way to deliver its point-of-sale and inventory software across platforms while maintaining strong performance and a modern user experience. Using Embarcadero Technologies’ Delphi XE2 with FireMonkey, Erply set out to avoid the limitations it faced with Microsoft Visual Studio and C#, especially for Mac OS X and mobile deployment.

Embarcadero Technologies’ Delphi and FireMonkey enabled Erply to build its Windows POS Cloud solution from a single code base and deploy it to both Windows and Mac OS X. The team also used FireMonkey to create a richer HD and 3D UI, improving customer experience and helping them compete more effectively. The solution saved significant development time, and Erply has since grown to over 20,000 users globally, with its largest deployment reaching 500 locations.
