Bruner Consulting Associates, a Longmont, Colorado firm with 25 years’ experience building wrist‑worn Class II medical devices for healthcare, research and military customers, needed to extend its apps beyond Android. The team faced platform limits because their existing adapter used Bluetooth Classic (not supported on iOS), and with a very small development staff, porting Java to Objective‑C/Swift was impractical.
