Bremmers Audio Design, creator of the MultitrackStudio music recording and mixing software, needed to bring its Windows-based application to Mac OS X as Mac adoption grew. Using Embarcadero Technologies’ Delphi XE2 and FireMonkey, the team wanted a way to reuse its existing Windows programming skills while adapting custom controls and automated tests for cross-platform development.

Embarcadero Technologies helped Bremmers Audio Design deliver a Mac OS X version of MultitrackStudio with minimal disruption. The team reworked controls for VCL and FireMonkey, added Mac-specific Core Audio and Audio Units code, and quickly deployed and tested the app on Mac. The result was a running Mac version with hundreds of automated GUI tests already in place, and deployment/build cycles taking only about 20 seconds.
