Cisneros Media implements integrated solution from Spectra Logic and Empress eMAM to store, manage and share digital assets

Cisneros Media, a major international content producer and distributor, faced the challenge of managing and preserving its growing library of over 60,000 hours of programming. Their local optical disc archiving solution was no longer sufficient for their need to consolidate their global archive, preserve historical content, and provide faster access to digital assets for clients and internal staff. They sought a scalable, cost-effective, and non-proprietary solution to store over a petabyte of content and partnered with vendor Spectra Logic to find one.

The solution implemented by Spectra Logic was a Spectra T950 Tape Library integrated with a Spectra BlackPearl Converged Storage System, managed by Empress eMAM software. This system provided Cisneros Media with a streamlined workflow for effortlessly archiving, searching, and restoring large volumes of media. The Spectra solution offered crucial scalability, native LTFS support for easy content access, and the ability to securely access archives offsite, ultimately enabling the company to more efficiently service its clients worldwide.
