XTO Energy, a leading U.S. natural gas producer, faced operational gaps at its Cornell Mahoney gas plant where over 500 assets were maintained by a 15‑technician team. With no formal tracking system, handwritten work requests were often misplaced, making it difficult to report issues during 24/7 shifts or assign work by priority and skill.
XTO implemented the web‑based eMaint CMMS and used on‑site Professional Services training to configure the system, track PMs, estimate task times, and monitor backlog. The result: anytime/anywhere access and off‑hours work order management, a jump from 70% to 100% work completion with no additional staffing, full visibility into backlog, and improved safety through automated PMs.
