A eMaint Case Study
Spokane Industries, a global provider of casting and industrial fabrication since 1952 with a 240,000 sq ft facility and three manufacturing divisions, had no formal recordkeeping or reporting before adopting eMaint CMMS in 2008. That lack of organization made work prioritization impossible, created constant firefighting and intercom pages, and drove up spare-parts inventory and labor inefficiency.
Implementing eMaint — including automated PMs, RIME ranking for prioritization, integrated purchasing and inventory with PO workflows and automatic reordering, plus dashboards and KPI reports — delivered a 99.8% uptime rate, sharply reduced inventory, increased PM completion and labor productivity, and enabled a 50% reduction in maintenance staff; Spokane now plans to add barcoding and a tool charge‑out system.
