Secant Group, a medical and industrial biomaterials manufacturer, needed to modernize maintenance scheduling, asset management and technician behaviors after moving on from FaciliWorks. When Michael Manacchio joined as Reliability & Facility Manager, the company sought a 21 CFR Part 11–compliant, easily validated and user-friendly CMMS to drive a culture change toward reliability.

They implemented eMaint with a phased rollout, professional-services assistance to build standardized task libraries and PM templates, data migration, onsite training and weekly improvement meetings with project champions. The system’s electronic signatures, time-stamped records and labor tracking increased accountability across 47 mobile technicians and 11 full users; Secant has moved from ~50–60% PM compliance to over 90% company-wide, with all sites live and recurring PM notifications sent to managers — at a fraction of competitor cost.
