SDI Industries, a Pacoima, CA–based provider of turnkey material handling and logistics solutions, needed a CMMS for its Maintenance Services Division that could be deployed across multiple client sites, be easy to use, and include inventory management and preventive maintenance. Their goal was a single, configurable system that technicians could use onsite or remotely to ensure consistent PM practices and maximize equipment uptime.
They selected eMaint for its intuitive interface and flexible configuration; after training and rollout, eMaint became mandatory in SDI’s full-service contracts. Technicians now manage work orders, PMs and parts remotely via laptops, reorder points auto-generate POs to improve inventory turns, and automated reports/graphs accelerate trend spotting for clients like UPS. As a result SDI has grown to over thirty active client accounts and continues to add new customers monthly.
