Rockland Uses eMaint to Maintain the Security of Their Key Request and Approval Process

Rockland Community College, a nine‑building SUNY campus serving more than 8,000 students, faced an administrative and communications nightmare: an inflexible CMMS that relied on paper forms, poor user adoption, lost paperwork, and difficulty tracking assets and key requests. After evaluating 25 vendors, RCC selected eMaint for its configurability and ability to meet current and future needs.

RCC implemented eMaint in 2005 and migrated to eMaint’s SaaS platform in 2009, configuring electronic forms to match their paper workflows to ensure rapid adoption. The system now tracks work completion times, vehicle usage and mileage, and key request approvals/returns, processes nearly 10,000 work requests, and has improved security, accountability and the ability to justify overtime and staffing while removing hardware and backup burdens.
