National Office Furniture, a Kimball International brand that sells office furnishings to businesses, government and education, operates four plants and a network of dealers. Before 2010 the company relied on three different maintenance systems (paper, MP2 and a home-grown solution), which caused inconsistent practices and retraining burdens as employees moved between plants. National needed a single, easy-to-use, web‑ and mobile-capable CMMS that could be customized for both plant and national metrics.

National implemented eMaint in 2010, converting legacy data, configuring the system to its needs and training 28 staff via eMaint University; all four plants were live within a month. Today eMaint tracks 820 assets, helped achieve a 98% preventive maintenance completion rate, supports the company’s “ship-on-time” pledge, and contributed to ISO 9000 and 14001 compliance—backed by rapid vendor support.
