Case Study: Excelsior Medical achieves paperless calibration and streamlined regulatory compliance with eMaint CMMS

A eMaint Case Study

Preview of the Excelsior Medical Case Study

Medical device manufacturer ushers in a digital future with eMaint CMMS software

Excelsior Medical (a Medline medical device manufacturer in Neptune, NJ) faced a time-consuming, paper-based maintenance and calibration process for its critical filling, sterilizing, and packaging equipment—making regulatory compliance under FDA and ISO 13485 difficult and records hard to locate. Engineers sought a web-based, customizable CMMS with mobile capabilities to streamline documentation, scheduling, and audit reporting.

The company implemented eMaint CMMS, led by manufacturing engineer Christine Minervini, configuring custom forms, automating calibration and maintenance scheduling, and expanding coverage to 1,233 assets. The digitization enabled a paperless environment, faster audit access, improved calibration quality control, and was rolled out to a second plant; in one year the Neptune site completed 927 calibration work orders, 8,318 PMs, 3,505 corrective work orders, and 304 facilities work orders.
