Troy Design & Manufacturing (TDM), a Michigan-based supplier of automotive prototypes and stamping, faced fragmented, paper-based maintenance processes across four facilities—using separate systems for PMs (MP2) and work requests. In 2012 the IT and Facilities teams sought a single, easy-to-use, paperless, mobile-compatible CMMS to improve responsiveness, tracking and customer communication.

TDM implemented eMaint CMMS (with MX Mobile and smartphones) and migrated assets, PMs and work history from legacy systems, enabled >300 intranet requestors, set up a consolidated roll-up dashboard, and automated confirmations and random satisfaction surveys. The result: elimination of paper work orders, reduced data-entry time, improved communication and customer satisfaction, sustained 96% work completion rate, faster completion times, and stronger audit readiness for ISO recertification.
