eMaint Facilitates Efficiency within Trinity Hall’s Maintenance Department

Trinity Hall, one of the oldest colleges at the University of Cambridge, manages residential and educational facilities for roughly 580 students and oversees more than 1,600 assets across multiple sites. The college’s legacy HelpDesk system could only log requests, could not schedule planned maintenance or record asset histories and financial data, and was inflexible to configuration—problems made worse when support for the system ended.

After evaluating CMMS options, Trinity Hall implemented eMaint for its customization and ease of use. eMaint provided a single database for asset listings and H&S information, streamlined management input, and enabled effective planned maintenance regimes across 1,600+ assets, while capturing historical maintenance and financial records and opening the door to further system development.
