eMaint Converts Auditors into Maintenance Fans

Silver Spring Foods, the world’s largest horseradish producer and part of the family-owned Huntsinger Farms, was struggling to manage preventive maintenance and parts for its diverse plant equipment using manual spreadsheets while facing strict food-safety regulations and audit demands. ERP tools couldn’t track work-order completion or inventory, leaving 11 technicians without an effective system to schedule and document hundreds of weekly PMs and repairs.

They implemented and customized eMaint CMMS (with rapid training via eMaint University), importing assets and PMs and giving technicians individual dashboards and on-demand custom reports. The result: auditors are satisfied, the plant achieved BRC Level A certification, 100% of ~200 weekly PMs are scheduled with about 90% completed on time, and roughly 100 work orders are entered and tracked each week.
