CyOptics, a Breinigsville, PA–based manufacturer of intricate, multi-layer semiconductors, needed a configurable, easy-to-use CMMS to support demanding production and continuous improvement goals. Before adopting eMaint in 2017 the maintenance team relied on verbal reports and emails, had no unified way to prioritize work, and lacked visibility into equipment uptime, downtime, and asset histories—making it difficult to troubleshoot, plan, and measure performance.

Working with eMaint, CyOptics populated its asset database, implemented work order management and prioritization, and developed custom workflows and interactive plans (live, color-coded maps of assets and activity). The system delivered real-time visibility, faster response and completion times, better coordination of line start/stops with equipment availability, ISO-compliant re-qualification workflows, and the ability to analyze historical asset data and send automated notifications—while laying the groundwork for future predictive sensor integration.
