DAP, a Baltimore-based manufacturer of caulks, sealants and repair products, needed a more user-friendly, flexible CMMS than their legacy MP2 system. They wanted a solution staff could customize themselves and that would let multiple departments access, submit and track work reliably, since inconsistent timetables and poor record-keeping were causing missed tasks and undocumented labor.
DAP deployed eMaint, used eMaint University web training to speed adoption, and built custom forms, PMs and workflows. By creating Work Order Groups, automated workflow emails and a Requester Module for non-maintenance departments, they now document labor and stock-outs, send automated weekly progress reports to management, and have markedly improved interdepartmental communication, accountability and task completion — backed by responsive vendor support.
