A eMaint Case Study

Preview of the Dana Crop. Case Study

Dana Corp. Successfully Migrated from Legacy System and Achieved Rapid eMaint Adoption

Dana Corporation, a global supplier of drivetrain components, needed a modern CMMS to manage maintenance across a one‑million‑square‑foot Fort Wayne facility with 1,500 machines and 550 employees. After years on an outdated DataStream 7i system, they sought a web‑based solution for real‑time production‑floor data, streamlined work orders, document control, and better visibility of maintenance activities.

In 2014 Dana migrated to eMaint, importing assets, configuring the system, and training more than 250 users within four months. Customized work orders, BOMs and dashboards provided centralized training and safety content, enabled MTBF/MTTR reporting to justify repairs and staffing, and delivered rapid adoption and improved visibility of maintenance KPIs for finance, engineering and management.
