NTT Global Data Centers Americas, a major operator with hundreds of hyperscale facilities and thousands of critical assets, needed to standardize maintenance and build a reliability-focused program after Lee McClish joined in 2017. Although eMaint CMMS was in place, it was underutilized—data and workflows were inconsistent, preventive maintenance wasn’t prioritized by asset criticality, and the company lacked standardized asset records and audit-ready maintenance documentation.

NTT reimplemented eMaint through targeted training, onsite coaching, a dedicated implementation specialist, and a custom user guide and utilization plan; PMs were standardized and prioritized, mandatory fields and asset-information standards were enforced, and spares and end-of-life tracking were organized. The result: consistent data and workflows across sites, clearer failure analysis and capital-planning histories, improved auditability for customers, and a governance team and KPIs that position the company to move toward predictive maintenance and higher uptime.
