Case Study: Sberbank (Kazakhstan) achieves paperless, automated processes and improved employee performance with ELMA365

A ELMA365 Case Study

Preview of the Sberbank Case Study

How Sberbank’s subsidiary bank in Kazakhstan automated business processes and electronic document management using ELMA and improved employee performance

Sberbank’s Kazakhstan subsidiary, with 110 structural subdivisions and 17 branch offices, faced an outdated EDMS that blocked growth and needed a modern platform to go paperless, optimize and automate business processes, and improve employee performance. After evaluating more than ten vendors, the bank selected ELMA365 and its ELMA electronic document management and BPM platform to replace the legacy system.

ELMA365 implemented the ELMA platform, integrating it with other systems, enabling digital signatures and automated workflows to replace manual operations and paper circulation. The project (14 months including research; 9 months for migration and development) scaled rapidly—users and running processes tripled while the system remained available 24/7—and delivered concrete savings (about 100,000 sheets of paper saved in six months on one process), reduced printing/storage costs, sped up approvals, and improved employee productivity.
