Automation of Document Management, Finance and HR Processes in Air Astana

Air Astana, the Kazakhstan-based airline, was struggling with rapidly growing paperwork and slow approvals during a period of fast company expansion. With more than 5,000 users and roughly 140–440 transactions per month, the HR department in particular was overwhelmed and the company wanted to eliminate hard copies, speed up approvals and implement a legally valid digital signature. To meet these needs, Air Astana selected ELMA365’s BPMS and digital-signature capabilities.

Using ELMA365, Air Astana automated 59 groups of HR and finance processes, integrated the BPMS with ERP and other internal systems, implemented digital signatures and moved records into electronic storage; the first automated processes went live within eight months. The ELMA365 implementation cut document review and approval times from days to hours or minutes, reduced manual operations and HR/finance workload, supports 100–200 concurrent users (5,000+ total users), and helped the project win the WOW!HR 2018 award for HR automation.
