AstraZeneca - Customer Case Study

AstraZeneca, a global biopharmaceutical company with over 1,000 employees in Russia, faced time-consuming, error-prone HR and personnel-management workflows that were maintained in Excel and relied on single administrators. To improve operational efficiency, employee experience and retention, AstraZeneca adopted ELMA365 (noted in their materials as ELMA) beginning in 2015 to introduce process management and automate critical HR processes.

Using ELMA365, AstraZeneca automated key workflows—vacation requests, performance evaluations, bonus allocation and corporate expense recoveries (sports, education, healthcare, mortgage and insurance)—covering some 3,118 business transactions. ELMA365 delivered faster, more reliable transactions, reduced manual errors, improved system usability and incident response, and enabled internal and contractor-led development to scale automation into other departments, with measurable improvements in operation speed and error reduction.
