University of La Verne faced a need to uncover actionable, consistent data to inform institutional decision-making—getting “everyone to have the same number” and a single pane of glass view across systems. To address reporting fragmentation (EDW/ODS) and leverage existing Banner expertise and Tableau work on campus, the university selected Ellucian and its Ellucian Analytics offering.

Ellucian implemented Ellucian Analytics with out-of-the-box dashboards, Banner integration, and compatibility with Tableau and a data-lake approach. As a result, the provost’s office and other stakeholders gained a single pane of glass for analytics, institutional agreement on data definitions, and actionable insights for student retention, classroom utilization, HVAC/electricity planning, and fairer faculty load distribution—helping La Verne move toward a truly data-driven institution.
