The University of St. Thomas, a 4‑year private institution of about 3,000–5,000 students, needed to realign its IT strategy to boost competitiveness and support changing learning modalities during the pandemic. To meet that challenge it partnered with Ellucian, using Ellucian Managed Services to reconfigure its IT organization and rapidly adapt infrastructure for remote and hybrid instruction.

Ellucian Managed Services implemented a new technology strategy, provisioning more than 70 classrooms and labs with HyFlex-capable, industry-standard technologies and reallocating former IT space to marketing and communications. The deployment enabled on‑time fall semester operations, expanded the university’s reach beyond its physical campus, improved mobile and customer-service capabilities, and delivered measurable impact — including increased enrollment and a 5x growth in project completion versus the prior in‑house organization.
